EU Blue Card

You hold a degree from Ger­many or anoth­er coun­try that is equiv­a­lent to one from Ger­many. To get an EU Blue Card, you need to prove that you have a ter­tiary-lev­el edu­ca­tion that took at least three years to com­plete if you don’t have a typ­i­cal uni­ver­si­ty degree.

Work visa for qual­i­fied professionals

Require­ments
* Your qual­i­fi­ca­tion must be recog­nised in Ger­many or com­pa­ra­ble to a Ger­man degree.
* You’ve received a offer of employ­ment from a Ger­man employ­er. It is cru­cial that the employ­ment offer is a qual­i­fied posi­tion.
* It’s not nec­es­sary for your job to be con­nect­ed to your pro­fes­sion­al back­ground. If you wish to oper­ate in a reg­u­lat­ed pro­fes­sion, how­ev­er, you will require a licence to prac­tise.
* Are you a for­eign work­er arriv­ing in Ger­many for the first time and over 45 years of age? In this instance, your intend­ed employ­ment in Ger­many must pro­vide you with the oppor­tu­ni­ty to make at least €49,830 (as of 2024) in gross annu­al pay.

Visa for IT pro­fes­sion­als
Do you want to work as IT spe­cial­ist in Ger­many? Even if you don’t have any offi­cial qual­i­fi­ca­tions or a uni­ver­si­ty degree, you can do it.  But you need to meet some require­ments, for exam­ple that you have been offered a job in Ger­many, and that you have at least three years of expe­ri­ence in the field, among others.

Visa for jobseekers

Require­ments
* You have to bring doc­u­men­ta­tion of your aca­d­e­m­ic or pro­fes­sion­al train­ing.
* If you want to work in a reg­u­lat­ed field, such as health­care, you must have a pro­fes­sion­al prac­tice per­mit.
* You need a lan­guage lev­el of at least B1
* You must prove that you can cov­er your costs of liv­ing while you find a job. You can do this through a blocked bank account or a dec­la­ra­tion of com­mit­ment.
