Päd­a­gogis­che Hochschule Karl­sruhe (Karl­sruhe Uni­ver­si­ty of Education)

As a uni­ver­si­ty of edu­ca­tion with the right to award doc­tor­al and post-doc­tor­al degrees, we research and teach edu­ca­tion­al process­es in and out of school. Our dis­tinc­tive pro­file is shaped by our focus on edu­ca­tion in a demo­c­ra­t­ic soci­ety, edu­ca­tion­al process­es in the dig­i­tal world, and STEM in a cul­ture of sustainability.

Approx­i­mate­ly 220 aca­d­e­m­ic staff super­vise around 3,600 stu­dents. The range of cours­es includes teacher train­ing pro­grams for pri­ma­ry and low­er sec­ondary edu­ca­tion as well as bach­e­lor’s and mas­ter’s pro­grams for oth­er edu­ca­tion­al fields. The in-ser­vice con­tin­u­ing edu­ca­tion pro­grams are char­ac­ter­ized by their par­tic­u­lar prox­im­i­ty to research and practice.
