Fed­er­al Office for Migra­tion and Refugees (BAMF)

As a com­pe­tence cen­ter for migra­tion and inte­gra­tion in Ger­many, the Fed­er­al Office is not only respon­si­ble for car­ry­ing out asy­lum pro­ce­dures and pro­tect­ing refugees, but is also the dri­ving force behind the nation­wide pro­mo­tion of inte­gra­tion. The range of tasks also includes migra­tion research.
