There are many opportunities for (new) immigrants to learn German in Karlsruhe. It is important to know that integration courses, vocational language courses and VwV German courses are certified language courses. This means that participants can take an exam at the end of these courses and receive an official language certificate.

German courses according to the German administrative regulation (VwV Deutsch)
As not all people are allowed to take part in integration courses, the City of Karlsruhe implements the VwV Deutschkurse.
People who are not eligible for integration courses or cannot practically attend them can take part in the VwV German courses.
The following VwV German courses are also offered in Karlsruhe:
1. Summer courses for teenagers and young adults at the transition from school to vocational training
German courses with certified final exams B1 or higher for teenagers and young adults (aged 15 and over) with good knowledge of language level A2 or higher.
2. The promotion of people who are disqualified for integration courses
This help is intended for all immigrants who do not have or do not yet have access to integration courses and are not in imminent danger of deportation.
