“Live-in” 24-hour care in private homes — conditions for fair care
The recent ruling by the German Federal Labor Court on working conditions in 24-hour care has brought the subject of
home care has come increasingly into the public eye. There are still no answers to many questions: How will the working conditions for 24-hour caregivers be structured after the BAG ruling? What needs to change? What can humane, fair, home-based care look like for employees and those being cared for? Where can we build on existing structures, where do we need to make improvements? Experts from the fields of equality, care and the labor market will provide input from their perspective. The event will provide differentiated information on this complex topic and discuss possible solutions. Experiences from the IN VIA contact point “cosmobile domestic helpers” at the Karlsruhe train station mission, which has been in existence for ten years, will supplement the discussion.
