The Musikvere­in Har­monie e.V. Blanken­loch proves again and again that brass music offers a wide range of styles. Since its found­ing in 1925, the tra­di­tion-rich asso­ci­a­tion has stood for the best brass music cul­ture in Baden and com­bines a wide vari­ety of gen­res in sophis­ti­cat­ed arrange­ments and ver­sa­tile stage pro­grams — includ­ing on Burgfest Sat­ur­day as the open­ing act in the Hoepfn­er Burggarten.

The stu­dent brass band in Karl­sruhe plays tra­di­tion­al brass music: march­es, polkas and waltzes, and occa­sion­al­ly oth­er pieces that stray into the reper­toire, are per­formed by the pas­sion­ate brass musi­cians with fer­vor wher­ev­er they find a suit­able occa­sion — for exam­ple, the Hoepfn­er Burgfest on Whit­sun Sun­day in the Burggarten.
