Karl­sruhe shines — Schlosslicht­spiele Light Festival

Media art, instal­la­tions and light also take the SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Light Fes­ti­val into the neigh­bor­hoods and turn the city cen­ter into an exhi­bi­tion space. There, the UNESCO City of Media Arts Karl­sruhe presents nine works by local and inter­na­tion­al media artists in urban and dig­i­tal space under the mot­to “Media Art is Here”.

From August 16 to Sep­tem­ber 17, Karl­sruhe Cas­tle will be trans­formed into a can­vas of dig­i­tal art­works as new shows, as well as already pop­u­lar pro­jec­tion map­pings from pre­vi­ous years, shine in the heart of the city. The Light Fes­ti­val, which is tak­ing place at the same time, is trans­form­ing the city into a stage and exhi­bi­tion space where vis­i­tors can expe­ri­ence decen­tral­ized light art and illuminations.
