Inter­cul­tur­al Par­ent Mentors

Infor­ma­tion on the top­ics of school and education

The city of Karl­sruhe sup­ports inter­na­tion­al par­ents with brochures in var­i­ous lan­guage ver­sions on the sub­ject of school edu­ca­tion. In addi­tion, par­ents are sup­port­ed by qual­i­fied par­ent men­tors who advise par­ents and accom­pa­ny them to school dis­cus­sions and par­ents’ evenings.

Inter­cul­tur­al Par­ent Mentors

Since Jan­u­ary 2020, Inter­cul­tur­al Par­ent Men­tors have been active in Karl­sruhe. They assist par­ents with ques­tions about school and edu­ca­tion as well as schools, day-care cen­ters and oth­er insti­tu­tions on top­ics of inter­cul­tur­al under­stand­ing. The non-prof­it Par­ents’ Foun­da­tion Baden-Würt­tem­berg qual­i­fies the men­tors. Around twen­ty peo­ple are involved in this area in the city of Karl­sruhe (as of April 2021).
