Inte­gra­tion Com­mit­tee of the City of Karlsruhe

For karl­sruhe as a mod­ern and cos­mopoli­tan city, immi­gra­tion has played an impor­tant role since the city was founded.
Peo­ple with diverse (migra­tion) expe­ri­ences and influ­ences from cul­tur­al, reli­gious and oth­er social back­grounds call Karl­sruhe their home and enrich the city’s soci­ety on a dai­ly basis.

The Karl­sruhe Inte­gra­tion Com­mit­tee exists to ensure equal oppor­tu­ni­ties for all Karl­sruhe res­i­dents and to advo­cate for the inter­ests of immigrants.

The task of the Inte­gra­tion Com­mit­tee is to advise the munic­i­pal coun­cil on inte­gra­tion pol­i­cy issues and, as a rep­re­sen­ta­tive body, to pro­mote the equal social, polit­i­cal, cul­tur­al and eco­nom­ic par­tic­i­pa­tion of Karl­sruhe’s cit­i­zens with and with­out a migra­tion background.
