Edu­ca­tion­al Coun­selling for young migrants and their parents 

Edu­ca­tion­al coun­selling for young migrants and their par­ents is a project of Inter­na­tionaler Bund.
The goal is to increase the edu­ca­tion­al oppor­tu­ni­ties of pupils, through:

• Sup­port for Ger­man for Pri­ma­ry School Children
• Par­ent infor­ma­tion courses
• Indi­vid­ual consulting

The project is offered at var­i­ous schools in Karl­sruhe in reg­u­lar class­es as well as prepara­to­ry class­es for new­ly immi­grat­ed chil­dren. In addi­tion, the edu­ca­tion­al coun­sel­ing sees as its goal to strength­en par­ents in their edu­ca­tion­al man­date in order to ensure sus­tain­abil­i­ty of the mea­sure. To this end, par­ent infor­ma­tion cours­es are held at VKL schools, par­ent con­sul­ta­tion days are held in reg­u­lar class­es, and indi­vid­ual coun­sel­ing is offered.

We speak dif­fer­ent lan­guages such as Ger­man, Russ­ian, Roman­ian, Pol­ish, Eng­lish, Ital­ian and arrange inter­preters in oth­er lan­guages for par­ent meetings.
