The Amer­i­can Library is an Eng­lish-lan­guage library locat­ed in the Nord­stadt of Karl­sruhe. It is part of the Stadt­bib­lio­thek Karl­sruhe, there­fore all you need to check out books is a Stadt­bib­lio­thek Karl­sruhe library card. Find over 40,000 media – books, DVDs, mag­a­zines, con­sole games, etc. – all in Eng­lish. We look for­ward to see­ing you!

On aver­age, the Amer­i­can Library offers over 90 events a year — open to every­one. These include reg­u­lar week­ly and month­ly events for kids, teens and adults as well as spe­cial events, such as read­ings, lec­tures, con­certs and exhibits. A cal­en­dar of events is avail­able at the library or on our website.
