The biggest event of the German-speaking Muslim Circle in Karlsruhe (DMK)
Encounters, dialog and the exchange of ideas in an open and relaxed atmosphere defuse tensions and promote understanding between people of different backgrounds and attitudes.
For this reason, the German-speaking Muslim Circle Karlsruhe cordially invites especially non-Muslim fellow citizens to this year’s Muslim Culture Days in the Fächer. From September 22 to October 13, a diverse program offers the opportunity for exchange, discussion and new experiences.
During these weeks, interested parties will be offered stimulating lectures, panel discussions and comedy on Islamic and socially relevant topics. Personal conversations with Muslims can be held over tea, mocha and pastries on Open Mosque Day and Neighborhood Day.
In addition to these classic formats, our cultural offerings include a guided tour of the city of Karlsruhe, which traces the historical Muslim life and work in the city. Various cultural performances combine traditional Islamic elements with modern forms of art and music. A cooking workshop offers the opportunity to try out Afghan cuisine.
Almost all of the events are carried out together with various local cooperation partners.
