Mul­slim Cul­tur­al Days in Karlsruhe

The biggest event of the Ger­man-speak­ing Mus­lim Cir­cle in Karl­sruhe (DMK)

Encoun­ters, dia­log and the exchange of ideas in an open and relaxed atmos­phere defuse ten­sions and pro­mote under­stand­ing between peo­ple of dif­fer­ent back­grounds and attitudes.
For this rea­son, the Ger­man-speak­ing Mus­lim Cir­cle Karl­sruhe cor­dial­ly invites espe­cial­ly non-Mus­lim fel­low cit­i­zens to this year’s Mus­lim Cul­ture Days in the Fäch­er. From Sep­tem­ber 22 to Octo­ber 13, a diverse pro­gram offers the oppor­tu­ni­ty for exchange, dis­cus­sion and new experiences.

Dur­ing these weeks, inter­est­ed par­ties will be offered stim­u­lat­ing lec­tures, pan­el dis­cus­sions and com­e­dy on Islam­ic and social­ly rel­e­vant top­ics. Per­son­al con­ver­sa­tions with Mus­lims can be held over tea, mocha and pas­tries on Open Mosque Day and Neigh­bor­hood Day.

In addi­tion to these clas­sic for­mats, our cul­tur­al offer­ings include a guid­ed tour of the city of Karl­sruhe, which traces the his­tor­i­cal Mus­lim life and work in the city. Var­i­ous cul­tur­al per­for­mances com­bine tra­di­tion­al Islam­ic ele­ments with mod­ern forms of art and music. A cook­ing work­shop offers the oppor­tu­ni­ty to try out Afghan cuisine.
Almost all of the events are car­ried out togeth­er with var­i­ous local coop­er­a­tion partners.
