Children’s rights Festival 2024
“Children’s right to be children” is the motto of the 17th KinderRechteFest. From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., the TOLLHAUS will be transformed into a colorful marketplace for children and their rights. In addition to the City Youth Committee, the Child Protection Association and the City Children’s Office, numerous other organizations from the city and district of Karlsruhe will be there to stand up for children and their rights and put them center stage. There will be lots of hands-on activities and activities around the Mobibus, a small stage program, a delicious cake and snack buffet as well as various information stands and the opportunity to talk about children’s rights.
Children’s rights are enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on November 20, 1989 and is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.
The organizers (Stadtjugendausschuss e.V., Kinderschutzbund, Stadtisches Kinderbüro and TOLLHAUS) are committed to ensuring that children’s rights are realized in everyday life. They therefore invite you to a colorful afternoon that makes children and adults aware of children’s rights and motivates them to stand up for them.
